Conquer offers tailored advisory and training services to companies in both mature and emerging and newly-EU markets. Our clients are typically banks or large companies that wish to develop, restructure or revamp their risk and enterprise risk management functions, including executive and senior management roles (such as CRO) and board risk oversight, making the resulting function more strategic and supportive of the executive function. Our teams, led by Maurice Ewing, provide end-to-end guidance, undertaking gap analyses and diagnostics, developing frameworks, executing frameworks, developing tools (such as risk registers, performance and executive dashboards, databases, credit scoring, rating, treasury and operational risk-related models and tools), guiding boards and drafting board risk committee charters while also offering independent, risk function validation and advisory to boards. We recently developed, for example, the entire credit assessment framework and tools for the world’s first mobile phone loan product (in Kenya) and then developed the surrounding ERM framework and risk oversight functions to ensure end-to-end functioning. Similar projects have taken place in Hong Kong, Thailand, Abu Dhabi, Greece, Liberia, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.
For large projects, we assemble teams of experts or work with major consultancies such as PwC, McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, GBRW, KPMG, and Oliver Wyman.
